故事发生在三十年代的香港，贪官污吏横行，拐卖案件频发。某日，梁芯（杨怡 饰）前往警局报案，遇见了名为金华（张继聪 饰）的杂差，梁芯深知警局内见钱眼开的歪风邪气，自然没有将破案的指望托付在金华身上。之后，梁芯遇见了警察沉一然（杨明 饰），和其他警探不同，沉一然年轻有为正直勇敢，在他的帮助下，人贩最终落入法网。
