电影《我的上高》以上高会战为背景，再现了上高会战时期，上高普通民众支援抗战、痛击日本侵略者的一段感人故事。闻名中外的“上高会战”又称“上高战役”或“锦江会战”，被称为是上世纪抗战以来最精彩的一战：1941年3月，驻南昌的34师团大岛茂因友邻第33师团预定要调到华北，要求33师团走前配合自己扫荡周围的中国军主力，却因两个师团严重不配合导致34师团扎进4个中国军的合围圈，是为“上高战役”。中国军队统计击毙日军大佐联队长滨田以下日军15000余人，日军自报伤亡千余人。

Alex Brinson饰演慷慨﹑勤奋的Luke，白天当庭警﹑晚上是法学院学生的他决心成为一名律师。Jessica Camacho饰演坚定的公设辩护心Emily Lopez-Berarro，为了证明客户的清白会显得无畏无惧。 Lindsay Mendez饰演Sara，热情洋溢﹑乐观﹑深藏不露的法庭记者，Emily的密友。她亦有主持法庭圈的牌局，并因此得到很多八卦及情报。Ruthie Ann Miles饰演Lola的司法助理Sherri，负责时间表﹑证人列表等文书工作。
