《神兽金刚之青龙再现》延续《神兽金刚》系列动画的故事背景，讲述了神兽战队为保卫地球，与外星球黑暗势力咒冥帝作战的故事。一直觊觎地球水资源的咒冥帝，召唤出地球上的远古巨兽——肥遗兽，发动了更大规模的掠夺攻势，但神兽战队的5位成员，青龙超人叶辉、麒麟超人林聪、白虎超人张力、 朱雀超人赵燕和玄武超人陈锋各显神通，开始了新一轮战斗。
