本剧继续将故事扎根农村，剧情从主人公万大山（郭冬临饰演）建奶站和给父亲当媒人说开，以万大山与谷雨（句号饰演）的矛盾冲突展开喜剧情节，通过结婚、奶站建成等四件喜事，渲染过年的喜庆气氛、用幽默的情节和包袱为观众贺岁，这一回闫学晶成了郭冬临的家里人、雷恪生则成了他爹。
