《黄梅戏宗师传奇》是根据黄梅籍神话小说作家周濯街的小说《黄梅戏第一代宗师--邢绣娘传奇》改编。邢绣娘，生于黄梅县孔垄镇邢大墩，清乾隆黄梅县平民，自幼酷爱唱黄梅调。
本剧改编自横关大同名小说，讲述小偷一家的女儿三云华和警察一家的儿子樱庭和马的爱情故事。深恭在剧中饰演比家族中其他人更有偷盗才能却拒绝继承家业，在图书馆做普通管理员的三云华。
