生于上等旗人之家的喜塔腊˙铄兰(汪明荃)自恃着格格的身分，四十多年来横行霸道，极尽野蛮之能事。兰儿子宁茂春(黄宗泽)到了适婚年龄，兰为他强抢来一位她认为是全京城最好的媳妇，岂料阴差阳错，儿子竟辗转娶了山寨王之女田力(胡杏儿)。兰吹毛求疵，但一山还有一山高，力亦不是温婉和顺之辈，婆媳各不相让，终日吵吵闹闹，叫懦弱、缺乏主见的春左要遵循母命，右要讨好老婆。却原来一切皆是掩饰，春其实武功高强，且背负着不为人知的秘密……

该剧讲述拥有“看见食物味道”异能的单细胞元气少女顾从莱(梦秦饰)通过食物的不同味道影响并改变人的情绪变化。在一次偶然的情况下，从莱结识了来安仁建设连锁顶级美食会所的霸道总裁刘尚俊(万思维饰)，刘尚俊想要把从莱招进自己的美食会所，然而性格、生活方式以及价值理念各异的两人在鸡飞狗跳的相处过程中渐渐产生了情愫。
