《兴国，兴国！》取材于1926年至1934年苏区兴国革命历史，反映的是革命英雄谢勋东的成长过程，以及他与夏迎秋在战火中的爱情传奇。该剧运用当代视觉，以土地、农民这一中国革命的中心问题作为切入点，真实而艺术地再现兴国苏区革命史乃至整个中央苏区革命中那段轰轰烈烈的历史，再现当年老一辈无产阶级革命家建立和管理政权的一系列革命实践活动，英雄成长和改造世界的矛盾冲突作为核心命题将贯穿全剧始终。
